Shooting in venues with low light and high ceiling seems to be some of photographers' worst nightmare. I came accross a few photographers who asked me how to shoot in these venues where bouncing the flash is just as absurd as pointing the torchlight to light the plane in the sky. Without further due, below is a tutorial I've prepared regarding this topic:
Isfan, untuk gambar sharp ada 4 cara:
1. Set sharpening parameter kat dalam setting camera.Tapi method ni saya tak pakai. For example: sharpen=+2
2. Focus subjek dengan teliti. Kalau auto-focus, make sure focus dah lock. Lampu bulat kat viewfinder menyala, ataupun bunyi "beep" kat kamera. Pada masa yang sama, pastikan kamera steady dan stabil ketika menekan shutter button.
3. Pakai aperture lebih kecil, iaitu f8, f11 ke atas. Aperture besar seperti f2.8, f3.5 dan f4 memang senang untuk shoot low light, tapi kalau tak jaga focusing, gambar boleh jadi kabur. Tapi masalahnya, kalau pakai aperture kecil, seperti f8, flash kena kuat atau tangan kena lebih steady sebab shutter speed akan decrease.
4. Kalau tak boleh jugak, alternatif terakhir ialah masuk photoshop dan sharpen guna "unsharp mask".
Untuk example di atas, walaupun saya pakai aperture f4, untuk gambar sharp, saya ambil nafas panjang baru shoot scene dewan ni. So, camera steady.
