Citrawarna 2006. Colours of Malaysia festival showcases various traditional performances from all ethnic groups in Malaysia. I couldn't wait for this year's Citrawarna because the venue now is at Dataran Merdeka, as compared to Stadium Negara last year. More colours, more vibe, more excitement, pumpin' music and spectacular lights with monumental backgound. The event gave me a chance to test my theoretical lessons in low light shooting with slow snyc flash. I'm pleased with the results. However, I wished that I could be there earlier to shoot more portraiture shots as I was rushing from an akad nikah ceremony at Kapar, Klang this evening.
I'd like to thank Chan for the passes that Bob & I used, Bob for exchanging ideas and my guru Adam for teaching my skills that's worth a lifetime.
Below is a snapshot of what I took. Please feel free to browse more images in this entry. Thanks!
Azroy, semua gambar yang wide angle saya pakai setting: 1/30s f4 ISO 200 (Lens Tokina 19-35mm f3.5-4.5) dengan fill-in flash TTL setting manakala gambar portrait askar dengan "trombone"nya, penari kadazan (gambar bawah askar) dan gadis-gadis kedah (gambar bawah penari kadazan) saya pakai setting: 1/30s f2.0 ISO 200 (Lens Canon 50mm f1.8 II) dengan fill-in flash TTL setting. Diharap maklumat ni membantu. Sepanjang malam Citrwarna 2006 ini saya pakai setting tu je (1/30s f4 ISO 200). Selamat mencuba!
I think you did very well
I shall post my Citrawarna tomorrow. I shot mostly at full zoom using A mode most of the time coz I wanted my 2.8. My ISO was 200.
